The World Cup matches begin today. We cut the cord a couple of years ago, but will not be denied live coverage. Thank you, over-the-air Telemundo HD TV channel!
The USMT didn’t qualify, so I am all in for España. They play tomorrow.

The World Cup is underway in South Africa for the last several weeks. Spain made it to the semi-finals and played Germany today and WON!!!! 1-0 Great game!
I can only imagine the celebrations going on in Madrid today. This is a live shot of Madrid from right after the final whistle blew and Spain advanced to the Final game for the first time in World Cup history.
During the years I lived in Madrid in high school Spain hosted the World Cup – El Mundial 1982. That was an exciting summer, and a thrill even though Spain didn’t make it past the second round that year.
I’m looking forward to watching the Final on Sunday.
