A pair of red-bellied woodpeckers have consistently made appearances at my feeders for at least two years. The male has chosen a tree in the front yard to make a hollow for their nest. I will be keeping an eye on them!

I was taking a picture of this black-crested titmouse on the bark butter board when a red-bellied woodpecker flew through. 🙂

Lots of action in the backyard this weekend.
I don’t usually care much for the mourning doves, as they aggressively hog the feeders. But I like the color around the eyes of this dove.
