St. Augustine, Florida, was the end of the boat portion of this trip. I didn’t get much time to explore the city, but what I saw was enchanting. I hope to make it back again someday.
A rainbow greeted us upon our arrival at the marina. Our marina is at the east end of the Bridge of Lions – this shot taken at sunrise. St. Augustine Light at sunrise – this shot taken from the observation deck of the marina’s hotel. Seen on a walk. One of the lions at the west end of the Bridge of Lions. The Castillo de San Marcos is the oldest masonry fort in the continental United States – dating back to 1695 – it overlooks Matanzas Bay, and the inlet from the ocean beyond the bay. Seen on two neighboring houses in a historic neighborhood… 🙂
I LOVE LOVE LOVE St. Augustine. It’s two hours from us and we go over few months. So much history and so much to see. Glad you got to see some of the city. Your trip sounded fabulous.
Thanks Lynn! Sorry to have missed you. Take care
