Bit o'color.

The yard is scattered with fledgling weeds.  This is one that seems to be pretty hardy.  It has small, spunky purple blooms.  It’s the only splash of color on the landscape tonight.

Today is Friday (thankfully).    And all is well.

After work tonight we pruned the crepe myrtles back.

Supped on a Tuscan pizza from Brick Oven (next best thing to homemade).

Watched an old Elvis flick on TCM (“Clambake” – um, not his best).

And then watched Jacques Pepin and Julia Child argue whether the turkey had enough or too much salt.

I wish every day was Friday (night)!

  1. What a pretty flower, looks sort of like a snapdragon bud. Seems a shame to call it a weed. Watch out….some of the prettiest weed flowers end up to be the ugliest, most invasive, super prickly, and rash giving weeds. At least in my unfortunate garden!

    1. Hi, i don’t know what these are called, but i am trying to keep these out of my garden. These are growing in a part of our property that we leave for wildflowers, so it’s the first one to show up. I think the bluebonnets are next!
