I flew to NY today for some meetings tomorrow and Friday. I got to my hotel right around midnight eastern time. I went outside to check out the Harvest Moon. It had just rained here and the sky was very hazy, but the moon was incredibly bright. The faint glimmer to the bottom left of the moon is Jupiter.
This was a special Harvest Moon because it became full a few hours after the Autumnal Equinox. Yes, campers, that means cooler days are ahead.
The lyrics from Neil Young’s Harvest Moon are running through my mind:
“But there’s a full moon risin’
Let’s go dancin’ in the light
We know where the music’s playin’
Let’s go out and feel the night….”

I think everybody I know shot the moon last night! Looks like you had a clear sky. Pretty!!
